Job Description

As a Quantitative Researcher, you will contribute to the Quant Team’s projects and research to develop features and predictors and create systematic trading strategies. Your key tool set will include statistical analysis, risk management and systematic strategies construction. You will collaborate closely with our machine learning and data engineering teams to drive projects forward.

This role requires academic or professional experience in Quantitative Finance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Python development (back testing engine, training data generator, signal analyser)
  • Conduct advanced quantitative research with a focus on financial machine learning applied to high-capacity systematic strategies in the equities space.
  • Contribute to efforts in hypothesis testing and model validation.
  • Collaborate with the machine learning team to integrate quantitative research findings into our modelling framework.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in quantitative finance and continuously enhance our research capabilities.
  • Effectively communicate complex quantitative concepts and research findings to stakeholders.


Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science
  • Professional experience in quantitative finance – a postgraduate degree in the same field can also be considered
  • Understanding of financial machine learning techniques
  • Intermediate/advanced Python programming
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Italian-speaking, though useful, is not a requirement
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A passion for intellectual curiosity and a desire to make a significant impact in the organisation
